A little about us.  My husband and I met in our 30's (well, I was 30 he was 33) and married and started our family later than most.  We suffered from fertility issues (me) and after meds and months of Dr visits, we became pregnant with our firstborn (a boy born in 2010).  Two years later, we decided to try again.  This time without the meds and countless Dr appointments.  We decided to leave it up to God.  If we got pregnant again, we'd be thrilled, but, if we were unable to have a second child, we'd be fine with it because we had our son.  Our first time trying, we were blessed with our second pregnancy (this time a girl born in 2012).  Our family is now complete.
Our son was diagnosed with food allergies (milk and nuts) and has had to avoid these foods his whole life thus far.  Earlier this year, we tried milk and he did ok for a few weeks then started to react and got REALLY sick one night.  We stopped giving him milk and went back to soy.  We're still avoiding nuts at all costs.
Our daughter hasn't reacted the way her big brother did to dairy when we tried giving her milk based formula a couple times.  We hope this carries over to when we wean her off breast feeding onto cow milk at a year.
The next few months are going to be interesting with our son in that we're attempting to potty train, get over texture aversion regarding food, and going to get rid of Baba (his pacifier).  Our daughter, has just started cereal and is growing like a weed!  We are going to attempt to make our own baby food this time around.  We had hoped to do this with our son, but the allure of purchasing already made food was too tempting and easy.
Welcome to our family!  I hope you enjoy the adventure!
